Lyons & Lyons Co., LPA, an established law firm in West Chester, Ohio, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will assist clients in the completion of comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, ensuring clients’ assets are protected and their wishes honored. You will also manage probate proceedings, guiding families through the often complex legal process of estate administration with compassion and expertise. 

Responsibilities

Draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, advance directives, and powers of attorney to meet client needs.
Manage probate cases from initiation through completion, including filing petitions, inventory management, and distribution of assets.
Provide expert legal advice on estate tax strategies and asset protection techniques.
Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes related to estate matters or contested wills with tact and professionalism.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Ohio. 
Proven experience in estate planning and probate law, with familiarity in drafting legal documents and managing estate administration cases.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, precise legal drafting and documentation.
Demonstrated negotiation skills to facilitate agreements among parties with differing interests.
Legal administrative experience that ensures efficient case management and adherence to deadlines.
